The Sacramento Central Family YMCA health and wellness programs include
fitness for youth and teens. Group exercise classes for youth focus on
age and developmentally appropriate fitness activity. Our goal at the
Sacramento Central Family YMCA is to help build a lifetime of positive
health habits through engaging and fun physical activities.
Youth and Teen Fitness Programs:
Yoga with Sherri:
Pre-Yoga
- For youth ages 6-8.
Basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and balance skills are introduced
through play.
Monday 4:30 - 5:15
Youth Yoga - For youth 9-12
This program blends basic yoga practices, relaxation techniques and
creative movement for kids.
Tuesday 4:30 - 5:15
Yoga Fee: $3.00/month for YMCA
members, $40/month for non-members
Teen Strength with Reggie
For Teens 11-16 years of age
Monday & Wednesday 4:30 - 5:30
Girls Strength with Desiree
For girls 11-16 years of age
Wednesday 4:30 - 5:30
Fees: $10.00/month for YMCA members, $40/month for non-members
Dance with Jodie
Offered Every Saturday
Ages 5-8: 9:00am-9:45am
Ages 3-4: 10am-10:30am
Ages 9-12: 10:45am-11:30am
